Kenny, the American actor, called out to Murasame and they did an impromptu sword fight scene. They immediately hit it off but it was abruptly interrupted when Cedric’s friend who looked menacing at Kenny. Kenny immediately went to back to the side of the US actors but managed to give his email to Murasame through Kyouko.
This incident was discussed by Kyouko and Kanae when Kanae was doing a costume fitting. There is a side issue about Kyouko being mistaken for a middle school student. For the next costume fitting, Kyouko was forbidden from joining Kanae by the tailor. He told her that actors are the only ones allowed inside.

Later on, Kyouko is bored out of her mind while waiting that she is doing some exercises. After some computations of the time zone, she tries to fight the temptation to call Ren to ask about what he has been eating especially since he is now alone. She ends up calling but tries to hang up. Unfortunately for her, Ren had already answered it.
While talking with Ren regarding his eating, Kyouko senses something different from usual. Ren’s current tone of voice reminds her a bit of Corn. Kyouko hears the sound of waves that she asked him where he is. Ren declined to tell her by saying that it is confidential. When Ren asked Kyouko how was the current situation at her side, she replied that it is complicated and he’ll know when he arrives.
Ren seems to already know what it could be. Kyouko mentioned that everyone is eagerly waiting for his arrival tomorrow. After they hanged up, it turned out that Ren had visited Rick’s grave and was holding Corn the rock. There was a scene at the fitting area wherein Cedric’s friend looking smugly at the displeased tailor.

Comment: It is obvious that Cedric’s group are deliberately isolating the Japanese actors from the US actors. I’m not sure what is the purpose of it though aside from being racist/looking down on them. Maybe he wanted to force the producers to fire the Japanese and hire all US actors?
Now, I would assume that Cedric has a lot of power in showbiz because all these actors and even staff are forced to do what he wanted. Maybe he can make them lose their jobs, get cancelled or whatever. If Cedric has been doing this type of thing since he was young, I guess he knew that he can get away with it.
I think the Japanese actors can handle that well for now since they are adults and there are many of them. It would have been hard for a young boy like Kuon before. I would assume that those kind of tactics didn’t exactly work since Cedric had to resort to violence.

During the phone call, I guess it is showing that Ren is somehow unconsciously slipping that he is letting a bit of Corn out. Maybe because of his current appearance or that he is at Rick’s grave. The call also helps Ren know that Cedric hasn’t changed at all. I do wonder if Cedric can recognize him and what kind of persona/acting Ren might use to conceal, if he plans to, his real identity.
Hopefully, we can see something more exciting and eventful scenes + developments in the upcoming chapters since these past few ones is a setting up of what is the current situation and what are they up against. And, with their son in close proximity, I wonder if Kuon’s parents especially the mother can still resist checking up on him personally even if it is just a glimpse.
